In California, probate is filed in the Superior Court of the county where the decedent lived. If the decedent lived outside California but owned property here, it is filed in the county where the property is. (See the CA Courts formal probate overview.) This page lists the official probate page for each of the 58 county Superior Courts.

Los Angeles County: the courthouses, the 2026 Antelope Valley hearing changes, and official LA tools are on LA County probate courts. For every other county, use that county’s court links below.

Each link was checked on October 5, 2026. A few smaller courts have no standalone probate page, so those links go to the court’s home page. Courts reorganize their websites often. If a link breaks, use the Judicial Branch’s Find my court directory.
